Cydle to offer new devices at CES 2010
CES 2010 is the launchpad for many companies where new products are concerned, and Cydle isn’t going to miss out on the party next January by offering to unveil the first portable GPS with built-in HD Radio and free HD live traffic updates in the world. The Korea-based company hopes that their portable GPS system will turn any vehicle into a haven, even if it is a bone shaker, offering the driver with various options to get to their destination accurately within the routes selected, or keeping the kids in the back seat entertained while one’s family is on a long road trip in order to avoid the dreaded repetitious question, “Are we there yet?”
New technology employed includes GPS with HD Traffic Update, where one is able to receive Live Traffic updates up to 10 times faster compared to its competitors. The new T43H from Cydle will feature integrated HD Radio, where one will receive free HD Traffic. Inside the T43H will also feature both internal and external antennas, where they will refresh automatically to include the most up-to-date information concerning accidents, traffic speed and road construction areas. All you need to do when behind the wheel is to key in the destination and receive real-time alerts as they go, but do use some common sense as well since it has been proven that not all GPS maps have been updated to reflect real world conditions.

Metro Pink Cosmopolitan phone
If you’re the type who love standing out from the crowd and yet don’t want to jump aboard the branded items bandwagon, the Metro Pink Cosmopolitan phone might be just the handset for you – assuming you’re in the market for one, of course. This unique dual SIM swivel screen QWERTY handset is relatively affordable at $100 a pop, where it will come unlocked, while boasting a design that looks totally different from what you’ve seen on the market. It is impossible to classify this as a candybar or a slider, but more of a square-slider. Each handset works across all four bands, where each purchase will come with a free 2GB microSD memory card. Something tells me that the user interface isn’t going to be as sweet as the design though. so caveat emptor applies here.

Mini Folding Fan for notebooks
Most notebook cooling fans look the same – they all come in a single, rectangular design that is more often than not boring to say the least. This one from UXSight, however, is slightly different, as it does bear some resemblance to shurikens from ninjas of yore, coming in the form of a Mini Folding Fan. Yes sir, this black notebook cooling pad features an integrated fan which will help dissipate hot air away from your notebook to keep things running nice and cool. As we all know, electronics are loathe towards heat and dust, so this kills two birds with one stone. Boasting a low running noise, it requires not a power adapter since juice is provided directly via a USB port. When not in use, you can fold up the fan’s “fins”, so to speak, for easy transportation. It costs a mere $9.69 – any takers?

Vestalife Ladybug II
I first encountered Vestalife at CES 2008 with their unique Ladybug iPod dock, and I am surprised that it took me this long to report on another one of their products. While I was at CES 2010, I saw that they had the Ladybug II.
Ladybug II, is of course, an upgrade of the Ladybug, and it has the Vestalife look of flippable speaker wings. It also has a digital amp, and a built-in sub woofer. It is designed to work with all styles of iPods and the iPhone 2G, 3G, and 3GS, and charge them as well.
Of course, there are other fun features such as LED volume indicators, audio/video output jack, a USB port for synchronizing with your computer, and a 3.5 mm Aux input. Now, just to let you know, I have been told that Vestalife’s products will be sold at Apple retail stores and apple.com.

Nyko Wand + and Charge Base Quad IC at CES 2010
I always like reporting on what Nyko has to offer, so I couldn’t wait to see what they had this year at CES. For the Wii, they have two new products: the Wand + and the Charge Base Quad IC.
Of course, the Wand was meant to be a more advanced and user-friendly controller for the Wii, so why not make a sequel? The Wand + has its patented “Full Motion Technology built directly into the controller for full 1:1 movement tracking that is compatible with all games that use the Wii Motion Plus attachment”. The Wand also has Trans-Port technology, that allows “key action buttons to be digitally replicated on other devices and pass sound and vibration signals to attached peripherals”.
You should be able to get both of these devices in March 2010. The Charge Base Quad IC will be available for $49.99, and the Wand + will be for about $39.99.

BlackBerry 8830 with Dual Network Connection
Based narrowly on Blackberry 8800, the edition of the world of Blackberry 8830 of RIM (or alternatively the Blackberry 8830v) is a version of dual-mode CDMA/GSM of this popular device of transmission of messages.
The compounds of Dual-mode GSM/CDMA are very rare, a notable one being Motorola A840, but the this approach allows subscribers the access of networks of the USA CDMA (such as Verizon) to more common networks of GSM while wandering abroad. Yes, certain carriers in the USA (such as T-Mobile) support the GSM in the United States, but this lack of wandering functionality always put networks of CDMA-only in an unfavourable position.
